Almudena Alberca is the first woman in Spain to achieve the title of Master of Wine. After graduating in agricultural engineering, she continued her studies gaining a degree in oenology and a masters in viticulture. With more than 20 years of experience in the world of wine, Almudena has crafted premium wines from some of the finest terroirs in northwestern Spain. At Viñas de Cenit, she went from assistant winemaker to managing the entire winery. She also has much experience sourcing Spanish wines for the American market, overseeing the strategic development of wineries, launching new products, and developing training programs for sommeliers participating in both WSET and IMW students.
